Stewart's Hospital

Stewarts Hospital is a charitable foundation, with a 130-year tradition in the provision of care for people with intellectual disability. The institution was the first in Ireland to offer such support for people with severe disabilities. Services are provided regardless of age, religion, socio economic background and encompassing every degree of intellectual disability.

Library information

The John J Jennings Library: The library is situated near the entrance of the main hospital on Mill Lane. It is open to all staff, clients and to the general public. The library operates on a partnership between South Dublin Libraries and Stewarts Hospital providing a part time public library service to Palmerstown, a medical resource for the staff at the hospital and a welcoming environment for our clients. 

Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday:
10am - 4pm

Thursday - late opening in term time:
10am - 7pm
